The Woods Farm Day Diaries: Part 1 Almost Famous

A few weeks ago I had an amazing opportunity to work with a bunch of super talented creatives for a shoot at The Woods Farm in Jervis Bay. Eek! I'd been desperate to shoot there for years, stalking their instagram all the days and dreaming of a lush holiday I could take just to explore this beautiful venue! I could not say no... I called my good friend and stylist Sarah and enlisted her help!

Honestly though we had to make the impossible possible with only a week to pull together, clothes, hair, makeup, models, food, everything! I then called on the amazing Danielle Cleary who knows how to hustle... Sarah, Dan and I then found creatives/vendors/volunteers/friends/donations to collaborate and I couldn't have done it without their help and I honestly never thought we would actually pull it off!

The day arrived and Sarah and I drearily rolled into the car before the sun had even started to rise... picked up the two male models (and an extra large macca's coffee) and road tripped from Canberra to the beautiful south east coast... (the boys slept in the crowded backseat with dresses overflowing from the boot while we hauled ass to get there in time lol). The weather was amazing and it was the first time any of us had been interstate/out of isolation since the covid outbreak so we were buzzing with excitement (or maybe it was just nervousness)...

The day began with hair and makeup by the talented Ally Trenear and Michelle Boicheski

Then straight off the bat these two were introduced styled up and hitting their first look for the day... Riley and Kwanita did so great! Love these two for bringin it!

I try and keep my photography a little more documentary style even when I'm working with models which means I come up with activities or prompts for people to follow rather than poses... This keeps allot of movement, emotion and authenticity within my imagery.

Loved loved loved this look! Totally edgy meets 70s meets festival meets almost famous... ahhh I love when you create something better than you could've imagined!

Keep an eye out for the next instalment Sunflowers!
