The Woods Farm Day Diaries Part 3: A Forest Wedding

I had dreamed up this forest wedding with a dark velvet dress and a ‘magic’ carpet, and in truth it was a little tricky to photograph with the light not being quite right as by this stage it was the middle of the day everyone was hungry and their were branches and trees everywhere I wanted the camera to be placed… Lucky for the fierce Kwantia Bekoe who in true bridesmaid form saved the day by literally holding an ENTIRE tree back so I could get these beautiful shots of the beautiful bride Cayla Ajaye and groom John Hooke.

I’m constantly thinking of ways to make people feel comfortable in my photos whether a couple or individual, model or not… This is the thing that makes for authentic moments and beautiful captures. It is vital that the people in the photos are able to relax and have some fun – if we are capturing memories I want them to be good ones!

A few photos of these beauties on their own…

A quick dress change in the bush…

And that’s a wrap!

Keep an eye out for the next instalment Sunflowers!
